Rush Limbaugh Wins A$$-Hole of the week

Well, it's been a while since we posted. And there certainly have been candiates who deserved this award. And it's time we brought it back on a regular basis. But we are going to need your help. Now onto this week's winner, Rush Limbaugh. Rush has a myopic view of the world. And that's fine. Since he can't hear either, it's okay that he only has little vision too. Rush sometimes forgets that he's not on the safety net of his radio show. Perhaps it's because he's off the pills, I don't know. But at a conference discussing Homeland Security and the comparisons between the Fox show "24", Rush said a couple of things that well... makes him an Asshole. Even though he's just trying to be funny.

First Rush asks whether or not the actors of the show have to defend themselves from the Liberals because it's such a "PRO-AMERICA" show. As if Liberals are anti-Americans. But Rush tops himself when he says:

""You got lucky with 9/11 happening shortly after the show started." -- Rush Limbaugh

• -- Brett Myers -- On the trip to Boston, the floundering Phillies have to deal with another arrest controversy. This time the domestic violence kind. As Myers allegedly hit his wife. Myers last couple of starts have been less than exemplary. But overall this season he has pitched like he was the ace of the staff. But the last few weeks, he has seemed uneasy on the mound. And let's just say it's not surprising that this news has come. Not that he looks like a wife-beater. Just that he has historically been an immature headcase on the mound. And it only makes sense that it translates BACK HOME too. That said, anyone who hits a woman is an Asshole.
• -- Bruce Arena -- The Head coach of The US Olympic team has come under criticism for his substitions and lack of an agressive gameplan for his opponents. He leaned heavily on veteran presense and reduced the playing time of younger quicker players against younger quicker opponents. Arena's response? "I'm just an idiot." More like an Asshole. But we'll take idiot.
• -- Phil Mickleson -- Speaking of assholes idiots, the winner of the previous two Majors going into the US Open on Sunday at the 18th had the tournament IN HAND. But after pulling out his driver on 18 2 strokes ahead needing a par to win outright, pulls it left. But he still had a shot of getting to the green in 3 giving him a shot at par. And no worse than a 5 which would put him in a playoff. His second shot HIT A TREE and came back!!!! Which could go down as the WORST decision in the history of golf. It is inexcusable... And should make him A$$-hole of the week!!! His third shot plugged in a bunker leaving him very little chance to getting it close to try and save bogey. (And believe me if there was ONE guy who could it would be Phil.) No dice. Double Bogey. And he goes home as another self-proclaimed idiot.
